1. Sisal is grow in Florida, Caribbean Islands, Brazil, Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, and Asia.
2. Sisal is made into twine because of its strength, durability, and ability to stretch. It is made in dartboards, buffing cloth, filters, mattresses, carpets, asbestos, and in fiberglass. It is also made in spa products, cat scratching posts, lumbar support belts, rugs, slippers, cloths, and disc buffers.
3. 240 thousand tones made a year. Most of it comes from Brazil which produced 113,000 tones. Sisal is one of the worlds most important natural resources.
